Digital Frequencies is a week-long exhibition celebrating Black digital artists, presented by Elevate Experiences at StudioCo during AfroTech Week. We're looking for visual artists whose work lives and breathes in the digital space — not prints, not physical reproductions of traditional media, but art that is digitally made from concept to execution.
We're looking for work in formats including:
-
Digital projection mapping
-
Live digital painting
-
Digital canvas art / digital displays
-
Generative or AI-assisted art
-
Motion graphics / animated art
-
Interactive digital installations
-
3D digital art / renders
-
NFT or blockchain-based art (displayed digitally)
-
AR/VR art experiences
What we are NOT looking for:
-
Printed reproductions of digital work
-
Traditional media (paint, canvas, photography prints) without a digital component
-
Physical sculptures or installations without a digital element
If your work is digitally created and you're excited to showcase it in a real-world exhibition space, we want to hear from you.
Apply below.
A few things to nail down before this goes live:
-
Format list — I filled in some common digital art categories beyond your three (projection, live painting, digital canvas) to round it out. Want me to trim any of these, or do you have specific formats in mind you want prioritized/removed (e.g., is NFT/AR/VR actually something you're equipped to display)?
-
Display specs — Do artists need to know equipment limitations (e.g., "we can accommodate projections up to X size" or "we have monitors/screens available")? That's usually a huge question artists have before applying.
