Elevate Experiences, an official AfroTech Event Partner, is proud to present Digital Frequencies, a week-long exhibition celebrating Black digital artists, hosted at StudioCo during AfroTech Week.
Opening night is November 3rd, kicking off a week of art, culture, and community.
This event is hosted by Elevate Experiences as an AfroTech Event Partner and is not an official AfroTech or Blavity production.
This application is for digital artists only. If your work is not digitally created, please do not apply.
Digital Frequencies is a 3 day exhibition celebrating Black digital artists, presented by Elevate Experiences at StudioCo during AfroTech Week. We're looking for visual artists whose work lives and breathes in the digital space — not prints, not physical reproductions of traditional media, but art that is digitally made from concept to execution.
We're looking for work in formats including:

Now Accepting Artist Applications
The Gallery After Hours is a new concept, a gallery that stays open late, until 1AM, every 3rd Friday of the month. Less of an event, more of an atmosphere. Think intimate late-night café vibes, with coffee, matcha, and wine, in a room built for slowing down.
Your art will be on display for art enthusiasts and collectors to see, sit with, and connect with in person in a chill, unhurried environment. Your work will also be featured on our website.
This is a free opportunity. Artists keep 100% of their proceeds from any sales.
The Details
* Open call window: Accepting applications for October, November, and December in a single round
* Applications close: October 1st
* Where: Studioco | 1919 N. Main St. Houston, Tx 77009
* When: Every 3rd Friday, evening until 1AM — 10/16, 11/20, 12/18
* Spots available: 5 artists per night, up to 3 pieces each
* Cost to artists: Free
* We take 10% of sales
Who We're Looking For
We're curating a mix of local artists and mixed media. Work that holds up in a dim, moody, low-light setting tends to shine here... think pieces that read well up close.

Presentation Standards
Elevate Experiences is committed to showcasing artists at a certain standard. Every piece displayed at our events whether on a wall or a table must be presented properly, and that starts with you.
* Each piece requires a title card with your title card information printed and dropped off with your piece at drop-off. There are no exceptions.
* Handwritten title cards are not accepted.
* Wall pieces must arrive ready to hang (wired, framed appropriately or a canvas piece that can porperly sit on nails/pins) — no on-site assembly.
* Pieces must be dropped off by [time/date] and picked up by [time/date]. Elevate Experiences is not responsible for pieces left beyond pickup.
* Elevate Experiences is not liable for loss, theft, or damage to artwork during the event.
How to Apply

3. Selected artists will be notified by October 5th
4. Accepted artists will receive setup details and event logistics ahead of their exhibit month
