Creativity has always been a natural part of me. My mother blessed me with her artistic abilities and the more I explored the world of art the more I surprised myself with how intuitive it was to me. High school was when I fell head over heels with my first love... POTTERY. It opened my eyes to the potential and endless creativity there is in the world. I was able to make something beautiful with nothing but my hands and imagination, and to me that was a gift.

Jesse Brown is an illustrator and graphic designer. Through his artistic alias YISHAII, his work explores afrofuturistic and surrealistic themes that spark imagination and innovation and intertwines historical and modern culture within the Black Diaspora. He has professional experience in creating for various non-profits and small/mid size companies, and has participated in various trade shows and art exhibitions including the Black Boy Art Show and the RAW Artists Showcase.

I am the creator of Natural Exchange Art from the beautiful city of Tampa, Florida. I’ve been painting professionally for a little over ten years now and have to decided to spread my wings outside of my city. My inspiration is the beauty of blackness and the hues of blues. Clouds represent freedom as I always find myself daydreaming with the skies. I also enjoy combining my love of acrylic paint with my love of streetwear/fashion. Anytime someone feels any type of emotion from what I create I know I’m doing ny job as a creator.

I’m a black, queer visual artist based out of Chicago now residing in Texas. I’ve been an artist for 8 years. My work is conceptual but abstract highlighting black stories and the beauty of our culture, black mental health awareness, and healing. A true polymath, Torrey's professional life includes success as an entrepreneur, marketing and sales strategist, engineer, and loving father. It's within this tapestry of experiences that Torrey finds inspiration for his art. His paintings are bold, captivating, and thematically diverse, reflecting his entrepreneurial spirit and his love for the avant-garde. Shawna (Stroup) Billet is a mixed media artist with a strong passion for travel, hiking, nature, and creation. Her works begin with an inspiring hike or experience through travel, that leads to a photograph, sketch, or memory. Those experiences and scenes later transcend through her work with the use of vibrant color, expressive line, and texture.
Shawna is a graduate of Cleveland State University in Ohio with a major in art and minor in education. She has been creating and exhibiting her work since 2005 and serves as an art educator in a high school. Her strong belief in creating quality education for her students also serves purpose in the creation of her personal works. Her works have been exhibited in several galleries in Cleveland and Canton, Ohio.

Quentin places his roots in Memphis, TN but has made Houston his home for the past eight years. Quentin is an artist and graphic designer among his greater roles as a minister, husband and father. He truly attributes his skillset as a gift from God. He has been drawing and painting as long as he can remember. He explores all mediums, genres, and aesthetics. He chooses not to limit his abilities and challenges himself to learn new techniques and delve into all forms of art. He has been commissioned for art pieces that expand from home décor to commemorative portraits to inspirational movements such as “BLM”. As an entrepreneur, he owns and operates “Elev8 Print and Design” which offers graphics and print mediums in addition to owning his own Christian apparel line, Jesus is Greater, in which he is the creator and printer of his own designs. He has also shared his gift with youth as an art educator for the past 20 years

My name is Johnny Lain and l am an artist originally from Venezuela, raised in Spain, and now residing in Houston for almost a decade. My grandfather, a talented artist himself, instilled in me a love for drawing from a young age. As a self-taught artist and a graphic designer and illustrator by profession, l have always been drawn to the intricate details of a subject, which is the main focus of my art. I strive to bring realism to my work while incorporating my unique style, often featuring a gaze that captures the essence of my subjects. I am passionate about teaching and am currently an art teacher at a high school in Houston, where l find joy in helping teenagers express themselves through their art. In addition to traditional paper drawings, I also enjoy creating digital art.
